How to check your email without missing things

Step 8 of 8 • 3 minute read • Beginner friendly

You’re In Progress is a learning and digital product collection by Andrea Kelley Creative Studio.

Today you’ll learn

The simple version

Email gets overwhelming when everything looks equally important. You do not need to read every message. You need a simple way to spot what matters and save what you may need later.

Try this

  1. Scan for names, subject lines, and anything time sensitive
  2. Open only the emails that actually matter
  3. Move anything you may need later into a folder called Important

If this feels confusing, that’s normal.
You’re learning something new.

Checking email once or twice a day is enough for most people.
